A court of what?

Hi, welcome to the obligatory introduction post, might as well kick this off with why the name.

Names are so important and I've gone by so many. I have my Creatively Joanne social accounts, the Creatively Anxious blog I started when I was breaking into the marketing field. Now I have "A Court of Pink and Read."

So what does that mean? Well first off - mostly nothing I'm just really bad at naming things. Like my first cat named Fluffy, she was a black and white short hair cat that didn't live the fluffy lifestyle. I should have named her Carrie because she could destroy a whole house in minutes.

A Court of Pink and Read is simply a play on my favourite book series and colours. If you haven't guessed those colours are pink and red. As for the book series, I'm a Sarah J Maas fan girl. A Court of Thorns and Roses changed my life. Well, change is a big claim but the plot and characters haunt my every thought. Thanks for that Ms. Maas.

So naturally I wanted my new blog for reviewing books to show off those obsessions. That's it. That's the origin story of this blog. I promise to add a bit more adventure and sparkle in future posts.
